The general availability of Visual Studio 2026 (VS2026) was announced in November 2025. 

The Nucleus developer tools were written for Visual Studio 2022.  Plugins for Visual Studio 2022 are generally compatible with Visual Studio 2026.

We have been tested the Nucleus developer tools with Visual Studio 2026 and have not encountered any problems.  You will need to re-install the Nucleus developer tools after installing VS2026 in order to register them with Visual Studio 2026, as the VS2026 install process does not automatically migrate plugin registrations unless they were downloaded from the Visual Studio Marketplace.
